“Platform” – Jibuy’s website and services.
“Vendor” – A registered seller on Jibuy.
“Client” – A buyer or customer.
“User” – Any individual or entity using the platform.
By accessing or registering on Jibuy, you:
Confirm you are 18+ and legally capable;
Accept to follow these Terms and all relevant Kenyan laws;
Agree to our [Privacy Policy].
Users must register with truthful and up-to-date information.
Each user is responsible for safeguarding their login credentials.
Jibuy may suspend accounts for suspected misuse or policy violation.
Vendors must:
Only list legal and accurately described products/services;
Set fair prices and honor Kenyan consumer rights laws;
Dispatch orders within the agreed timeframe;
Accept returns and process refunds per policy;
Ensure customer service and handle complaints professionally.
Clients must:
Use accurate delivery and payment information;
Avoid abusive or fraudulent conduct;
Make timely payments via Jibuy’s official payment channels.
You may not:
Sell illegal or banned goods (e.g., drugs, weapons);
Violate intellectual property or privacy rights;
Use bots, scrape content, or disrupt platform operations.
Payments are made through secure gateways (e.g., M-Pesa, Visa/MasterCard).
Jibuy may charge vendors service/commission fees, transparently disclosed.
Vendors receive payouts after order confirmation or delivery verification.
Vendors must dispatch orders within 48 hours, unless stated otherwise.
Delivery timeframes are provided at checkout.
Clients are advised to inspect packages on delivery.
Jibuy may facilitate logistics but is not liable for delays caused by third parties.
Items that are defective, incorrect, damaged, or not as described qualify for refund or exchange.
Requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
Proof (e.g., photo evidence) may be required.
Jibuy will investigate and respond within 5 working days.
No refunds for perishable goods, digital products, or customized items unless faulty.
Shipping costs are only refunded if the vendor is at fault.
Refunds are processed via M-Pesa or the original payment method within 7 business days upon approval.
Jibuy offers mediation services for order-related issues.
Clients must contact the vendor via platform messaging before escalation.
If not resolved within 3 working days, clients may escalate to Jibuy support.
If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) or Small Claims Court under Kenyan law.
All content on Jibuy is owned by Jibuy or its vendors.
Users may not reproduce or use content without written consent.
Jibuy is a platform intermediary and:
Is not liable for vendor performance or product issues;
Does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform;
Limits liability to the extent permitted under Kenyan law.
Jibuy may suspend or terminate:
Accounts that breach these Terms;
Listings that violate local laws or platform standards.
Jibuy may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform implies agreement to the updated terms.
